Last Month In Art

February was a fairly busy month in terms of creative endeavors - largely in part because I still feel like I'm learning how to do digital art all over again. First this picture (a closer to the finished version can be found on Patreon by clicking here) kicked my butt:

Then this picture kicked my butt before threatening to corrupt. Tears were had (Finished version unavailable everywhere for now):

Despite that, I managed to make some small headway on the Sivoa: Sunrise audiobook:

The Near Future:

I got pulled off of the MegaCon waitlist and now will be vending at table A119 in the artist alley! This show was so stupid huge last year and there were so many artists that applied, that I'm honestly a little surprised that I got in. It feels a little like luck, but I think that they probably just expanded the section so that they could cram more of us in. If you're going, you'll want to bookmark this page so that you can get around (there's parking notes and I'll share the high-rez floorplan once it becomes available).

Because of this, I've restocked on a few items that were either out or low in the shop - such as signed copies of Sivoa: Sunrise and When Goblins Puppysit (this by both of us, which is logistically hard to do because Lannie's in another state). I also even have some stock of the Auset Gypsy Tarot Deck available for purchase!

This month's newsletter is late because something really exciting was on a mail truck, heading to my house, and I wanted to share it with you all! Right there, in the image at the top of the newsletter, is the printed draft of the Sivoa : Zenith manuscript! I'm going to attack that brain baby with so much red ink in what will be the first of many rounds of book editing. I'm so excited! Unfortunately, this does not mean that I have a release date yet. Editing is a process that takes a long time, and that's before I send it to my editor, Patty . What it does mean is that sometime in the near future I will likely be offering the ability to beta-read the thing to those on Patreon (this will be a separate thing from the raw preview snippets). [Dragonmun Studios] Patreonizing Events

Last month I realized that I had a social media addiction and decided that it wasn't doing my mental health any good. Though I couldn't axe it completely, I cut back on it in many ways and I have to say that I am doing a lot better in my personal headspace. The ideas are flowing again and I'm starting to figure out how to maintain a proper schedule once more. This seems to have allowed me to work on writing/art around the home remodeling and family stuff! I suppose I didn't realize just how much time in my day I dedicated to doom scrolling...  😅 This newfound time let me go in and restructure my Patreon tiers some. There's only two now (fun names pending), but they reflect what we discussed back in November/December regarding the sketch tier that I no longer have the backstock to fulfill.
